I stand under the moonlit night
Expecting something to have changed
The light, the night, or just the living
A new view, or the old one rearranged
Yet it was, but the same night
The same, but still glowing, light
And living moved with same right
The silence pressing in tight
I stand under the moonlight night
Waiting for someone to come
She promised me, she would be here
The thought, she wouldn’t, brings despair
Has this been the story of my life
Empty promises, and fake words
Yet i stood, hoping something will change
That to have loved her, wasn’t a mistake
But this feeling still felt strange
And then as if the moon came down
There she came, as if gliding
The face glowing, and a smile escaped
My heart just couldn’t beat
For all my fears, all my pain
Seemed unreal but justified
All my life was not in vain
All the hurt, and anger died
As our hands met
i found myself burning with love
as our eyes came closer
my heart was already racing
as i felt her heart
i gave up sanity in that moment
as our bodies embraced
i knew i had found love
i knew i had found god
I just wrote this randomly, without any aim or intention, without any inspiration. Its just been long since i last wrote a poem, so maybe its unspent poetic energy. Let me know if its good!
