Lost in time again
My words are fading out
Moments old already
The meaning getting lost
And what they mean to me
No one else can ever know
And how it turns out
Is what I am trying to find out
Days would, and months would pass
Before they lose existence
Yet in those moments they live
Would they ever experience
The warmth of those ears
For whom they were spoken right now
The moment of joy in the eyes
If they had been heard
And so these words now float
In this space between us
But perhaps they would convey their meaning
To the wind, which in turn
would have already conveyed it to you
by now.
